Artist Statment
Shape, surface and color are my entry into personal expression.
I work mostly wet on wet, allowing the painting to develop organically. The surface is built up with oil gesso and oil paint as a dialogue arises between the developing shapes and their colors. The emptiness of the background enhances the simplicity of the forms.
