Gallery 63 eleven presents Jeff Mihalyo's new paintings "Spanish Steps". The third of Mr. Mihalyo's travel series incorporates elements gleaned from Spanish culture as well as interpretations of the artist's Spring 2008 sojourn on the Iberian Peninsula and Morocco.
Mihalyo's trademark surrealist style and color palette captures the essence of light and atmosphere of the Spanish landscape. "Spanish Steps" rounds out his travel trilogy that previously featured Italy and France.
To inspire his new work Mihalyo's steps included traveling to Barcelona, Figeres, Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Grenada, Ronda, Gibraltar, Tarifa, Tangier, and Seville.
